This week, Jacki and Lyle outline their tip tops when it comes to celebrities, and indeed anyone, looking to stage a comeback after a crisis. It comes after Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's appearance at the SNL50 anniversary show, where Reynolds engaged in a skit with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler where he appeared to joke about Lively's ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. Suffice to say, the joke has not gone down well, and Jacki in particular believes that far from standing by his wife, Reynolds may well need to start looking into his own comeback as his stock starts to fall! Jacki and Lyle break down some of the best and worst comebacks by celebrities of recent times. The likes of Martha Stewart and Robert Downey Jr. are referred to as great comebacks, with Stewart now a household name once more despite a stint in prison, and RDJ having recovered from alcohol and drug addiction to become the assumed saviour of the multi-million dollar Marvel franchise! Conversely, Phillip Schofield is once again mentioned when it comes to poorly executed comebacks, with the former ITV presenter seemingly having earned sympathy from the public after his interview with the BBC's Amol Rajan, only for his stock to plummet after his ill-advised Castaway appearance. Meghan Markle is also analysed as she looks to stage another comeback, this time with a rebranded jam business! The duo deliver their top tips and big no-nos when it comes to mounting a comeback, with acknowledgment, awareness and empathy at the heart of what makes a comeback successful.
