The Dullahan is a sinister, headless rider from Irish folklore, who rides atop a black horse, carrying his severed head under one arm. With glowing eyes and a grin that stretches ear to ear, this figure carries omens of death, and is thought to be the inspiration behind the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.

This week, we're taking a look at the mythical figure, and some of the local stories of his appearance.
