Doom was prophesied on Gaza by the Hebrew prophets Jeremiah (Jer. 47:1–7), Amos (Amos 1:6–8), and Zephaniah (Zeph. 2:5–7). Those prophecies were fulfilled by the Assyrians in 730 BC and Egypt in 601 BC. Were those “already-but-not-yet” fulfillments? It’s possible.
