Why does it seem like trauma affects people in so many different ways? In my last session, I talked about the many signs and symptoms of trauma. For some people, you can easily detect trauma symptoms. For others, it can be much more hidden. Regardless, there are a variety of ways that trauma impacts people and there are some reasons for this. A lot of it has to do with many influential factors before the trauma even happens.
While your body is designed to handle certain traumatic moments with protective and even healing responses, there are numerous factors we need to be aware of that contribute to after effects that remain long after trauma occurs. Today I want to get into those factors.
