Several challenges were mounted by different Maine voters. The Secretary of State determined that Donald Trump did engaeg in insurreciton under the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, and therefore was not qualified to hold the office of the Presidency, and therefore that his statement that he was qualified was false, meaning Trump would be barred from the Maine Presidential primary for the 2024 election.
