I am still on a high from my Denver retreat and I had a super powerful conversation with the women there about how easy it is to burn out as a coach. Many of us are juggling two jobs. Maybe you’re a lawyer, but you’ve also created an online course for other lawyers. You could be an interior designer working with $100K plus projects during the day, and you also have this other program.
That’s amazing if it’s set up properly and sustainably, but it’s not amazing if it’s not. And I speak from experience.
During this episode, I open up about how I was completely burnt out, shut down my entire business, and basically started over. I go into how I bit off more than I could chew scheduling WAY too much, the difficult decision to let go of team members, and choosing to refocus my business to serve a broader audience and not just photographers.
I’m sharing my mistakes with you so you can avoid making them. The last thing I want you to do is to scale so quickly in an unsustainable model where you burn out. If you’re ever doing something in your business and something feels off, it’s okay to pivot. You’re the CEO and you get to make your own decisions.
