Today I want to talk about where to begin when you get a positive HPV test.
A significant change has occurred in how we detect HPV - decades ago, we only discovered HPV once abnormal cells were identified. Now, women are tested for high-risk HPV during routine pap smears, leading to more frequent diagnoses.
I believe women are more susceptible to high-risk HPV than ever before. The HPV virus doesn't discriminate by age; I help women from age 20 to 75 and beyond because HPV can affect women at any stage of life. Importantly, even after a hysterectomy, you're not immune - the virus can impact vaginal cells, the vulvar area, anal area, and oral cavity.
I want you to know you're in the right place, as I've helped with all different scenarios, ages, types of HPV virus, and locations in the body.
We’re here to help you!
