In today's episode, I had the pleasure of catching up with Mariel Mejia, the Founder/CEO of Pink Root Hair Products. Mariel is a Dominican-American NYC native, born and raised in the Bronx. After years of using relaxers on her hair from the young age of 11, Mariel found herself left with dry, brittle hair from all the damage caused to it by using excessive chemicals and heat. After graduating college in 2017, Mariel Mejia began experimenting with DIY recipes and formulas to improve her hair’s condition.
Through much hard work, dedication and brilliant formulations, Mariel Mejia was able to launch Pink Root Hair Products in 2019. With her brand new company initially starting out as a passion project, Mariel soon decided to take the leap and left her corporate job quickly after that to work on her hair care brand full time!
Pink Root Products was created to help customers struggling with chemically treated and heat-damaged hair, transition it back to its natural glory. I can’t wait to share Mariel Mejia's amazing story with you, she is truly genuine and left so many gems in this interview!
