RECAP TIME:

Xethir wanted to resurrect his dead god, the Unbeing, to do so he needed fragments of the Unbeing’s heartstones. But our heroes were a step ahead. They realised Xethir had put to market the job of finding the first fragment and they would take the job and seize the fragment.

After finding the Analyst at the Sehira Artificer Guild reclamation yard, the shardwork machine told Freya that the Chains of Faith gripped the empire, weakening the gods against a growing threat, and an agent of the Chains hunted clerics like her. That agent was the Clockwork Man.

After fighting a Bysilman dreadnaught, our heroes learned that the void blight itself was resonating with a consciousness deeper in Crulhoste. The next room was a puzzle of mirrors and an orb that whispered of the piece of terror.

Finally entering the last room, they found the heartstone shard. Broken free of its vault, tendrils and runes suspended it. The shard itself a link to the Unbeing, the god that once used this heartstone as its vessel…
