For Buyers, the home inspection is an important part of the real estate transaction. This is the time when you find out about the overall health of the property you have under contract. Most transactions include this as a contingency of the sale, meaning the house must receive a good bill of health. This is also the point in the transaction when the Buyer can request that the Seller make specific repairs to the house.
