Fride Vedde was born by the Norwegian fjords and has always felt a deep connection to the whales and the sea. Her family and ancestors were fishermen and whalers, and her favorite childhood moments were spent at sea and listening to the stories of the past.
Fride is an educator, writer, mother, facilitator and spiritual explorer. She loves to uplift and inspire people to find and pursue their passions, and fiercely believes in the power of following your heart.
Her passion for knowledge resulted in more than a decade of higher education in the fields of film, languages, anthropology and education, before teaching filmmaking in Norway. Fride has a MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University, NYC and MEd in Education from University of Cambridge, UK, where her thesis, ’Genius - Deep Attention to a Passion’ focused on the importance of allowing autistic children to learn by pursuing their passions. Something she feels should be the privilege of all children (and adults!).
