The juxtaposition of new armor being forged for The Mandalorian, with flashbacks to his traumatic childhood moment, is a powerful visual metaphor. I'm exploring that today, and it also got me thinking about The Mandalorian's cinematic influences, and whether the template of the Hero's Journey applies to the story we're being told so far.
