Never miss another jam-packed episode of The Therapist Experience!

In this episode of the Therapist Experience, we chat with Shira Myrow, a psychotherapist, mindfulness, and insight-based meditation educator, to hear more about her experience balancing her personal life while building a start-up and running her own private practice.

As a daughter of a treatment-resistant schizophrenic mother, Shira found her way to psychology with the imperative to make meaning out of her own traumatic experiences as a child. With advanced training in the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and interpersonal neurobiology, Shira’s is deeply committed to helping people integrate traumatic experiences, adversity, and dysfunctional relationships into secure, resilient narratives. Her clinical work focuses on helping couples and individuals learn how to regulate their emotions, unhook from perpetual conflict patterns, and acquire a tangible road map to navigating relational challenges.

She is also a contributor to Goop magazine and has presented at several Ted events, including giving her own TEDx Talk on Redefining Failure and the Ted Women’s Leadership Conference on Mindfulness. Currently, Shira is in production on a parenting podcast called Raising Generation Z with mindful parenting expert Laurie Cousins.
