As part of my, "I have the most interesting friends" series, I am chatting to Bolanle Body-Lawson, my good friend that I have known for eons, we talk about her decision to go from employed to self-employed, owner, CEO and other things...

Bolanle Body-Lawson is the co-owner and head baker at Pieko Bakery.

It is her responsibility, as the chief baker, to experiment with new recipes and keep the bakery crew busy. Her passion has always been cooking, and she prefers to express herself through baking.

Bolanle has baking in her genes, as her mother ran a bakery where she could be seen volunteering quite frequently.

Bolanle worked as a technology integration teacher at an international school in Lagos, Nigeria; where she collaborated with educators and students from kindergarten through high school. She was there for over 15 years prior to making her decision to pursue her passion.

Bolanle is a mother of two amazing children, a loving wife and a lifelong student. She enjoys discovering new ways to use technology as a means to simplifying processes and education.
