We start off with a flashback of Thomas and Dominick on a school tip to the Statue of Liberty where Thomas accidentally locks himself in the bus bathroom, which causes much ridicule and anxiety for Thomas. The result of which is neither brother getting see Lady Liberty. "My brother ruins everything." Back in the present, Dominick meets Thomas's social worker (beautifully played by Rosie O'Donnell) who does not take his shit but cares about his brother. We then learn that Dominick and his ex-wife Dessa had a baby girl that died of SIDS, which eventually broke them up. Finally, Dominick meets Thomas's psychiatrist Dr. Patel, who reveals the harsh truth of his brothers sickness by letting him listen to a tape recorded session.
