Bayern Munich wanted to come out and make a strong impression against Holstein Kiel in the Bundesliga and the squad did exactly that in wrapping up a 4-3 victory.
Bayern Munich was convincing in capturing the win (until a late defensive collapse), which saw the Bavarians look dominant for extended stretches. Despite playing a low block for extended stretches, Holstein Kiel was also more willing to test Bayern Munich than most other teams.
Eventually, though, Holstein Kiel would wear down. Let’s talk about how it all went down and more on the Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show. This is what we have on tap:
- A look at the starting XI and why Vincent Kompany still needs to consider his options to rotate more.
- A rundown of the scoring and substitutions.
- Some final thoughts and takeaways on the match.
