Lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan Julian Darby led his club to a 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town to end an unbeaten streak that stretches all the way back to the start of October.

Not a single person at the John Smith's Stadium went home disappointed, and not least the former Bolton School pupil who had dreamed of the day he led his club out in such circumstances.

Does he want the job permanently? No. He wants some sleep. But who can deny him a lie in on Sunday morning?
