It’s been more than 400 days since Israel launched its offensive on Gaza. The ongoing war has been denounced as a “genocide” of Palestinians last week by Amnesty International, which urges the global community to act. On top of the bombings of buildings and crucial infrastructure, the Strip's rich cultural heritage is also being destroyed. As of November 29th, UNESCO has identified 75 historic, cultural and archaeological sites that had been damaged, including cemeteries and museums. FRANCE 24 met with the people striving to preserve what’s left of Gaza’s cultural heritage. Elena Volochine and Guliver Cragg report.
