As lead singer of the Presidents Of The United States Of America, Chris Ballew was responsible for earworm-y hits like “Kitty,” “Lump,” and “Peaches.” Under the name Caspar Babypants, he’s recorded nineteen albums featuring 362 songs, and performed over 1200 shows for kids and their parents. Now, as he transitions into new solo material, he talks to Jamie Hernandez about his early years touring with Beck’s band, how his wife Kate Endle’s art inspired Caspar Babypants’ music, and the spiritual explorations that drive his new solo material.

Chrisballew.org is Chris’ official site, featuring his new music, as well as free downloads of past projects including Chris & Tad, The Giraffes, and Subset, the Presidents’ collaboration with Sir Mix-A-Lot.

If you have kids, go to the Caspar Babypants Tiny Jukebox page and program your own virtual concert.

And remember, if you know the proper response to “PEACHES COME FROM A CAN!” you can thank Chris Ballew.
