It's been a while! Things got pretty hectic last year and I had to take a step back from the pod, but we are back baby!

In this episode we are joined by Kelly McNulty, a PHD student from Northumbria University, investigating the effect of the menstrual cycle and hormonal contraceptive use on performance, recovery, and adaptation in sportswomen.

Kelly's instagram @theperiodoftheperiod aims to change the narrative for women's health and performance in sport&exercise through awareness, evidence-based education and support. Her podcast of the same name has incredible episodes covering a range of women's health topics, so I would highly recommend a listen to this too!
