In this episode Libby chats to a Ngarrindjeri man whose family experienced colonisation courtesy of the white Australia Policy first hand... he opens up about how settlers approached mob when they first landed gifting them 'royal' offerings + titles for compliance.
He talks about re-discovering his aboriginality + connection with culture, unpacking the inconvenient truth of what happened (and is still happening) in Australia. His call to unite our land through more understanding + listening to black voices asks the greater community to widen their perspective + include critical thought on things like 'Australia Day'.
A heart opening, thought-provoking episode all need to hear!
