Some people are blessed with good health, others are not. But health is not just a factor of physical condition. There are many underlying community-wide social and economic conditions in which people are born, live and work that impact health outcomes. This is what is commonly referred to as social determinants of health. Taking these into account is critical to improving health outcomes.
