Season 6 Podcast 26 Book of Revelation, Opening of the Seven Seals, Chapter 19:1-6 “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb.”

Last week we discussed Chapter 18, The Fall of Babylon. This week we shall discuss Chapter 19, The Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Revelation 19:1

“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God.”

Babylon, of course, is very much on earth. Babylon represents the world and worldly governments corrupted by evil leaders. Here the “voice of much people” is coming from heaven. They are the ones caught up before the turbulent wars of Armageddon are fought. They are before the throne of God singing praises to the Savior. They are excited that Christ has judged Babylon whose governments were corrupt that they favored the wicked and punished the righteous.

Revelation 19:2

“For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.”

Babylon killed the prophets, but those prophets and all the other saints of God are now in heaven looking down at the destruction on the earth and rejoicing.

Revelation 19:3-6

“And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”

In the above we get some idea of the vast number who are saved in the Kingdom of God. They are the ones who remained faithful, who did not take upon themselves the mark of the beast.

Revelation 13:16-17

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Those in heaven celebrate their victory over the beast.

Revelation 15:2-3

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."

With all of the rather disturbing images of the Book of Revelation, it is actually one of the greatest books of hope in the Holy Scriptures. It begins and ends with the blessings to the Seven Churches. The primary theme of the book of Revelation is the blessings of those saints who overcome the cunning of Satan, the craftiness of man, and the natural man.

Revelation 22:1-5

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
