Welcome to the tenth episode of the third season of the Perseverance Podcast. This is where you will hear the story of “Emmy”, an on-fire-for-Jesus young adult, who got caught up in what would later become a cult. Hear how she struggled with physical, mental, and emotional abuse for decades after marrying the pastor until she finally broke free from his control along with her 5 children. Through this situation, “Emmy” had to come back to who the God of the Bible really is and who she is in His sight: precious and beloved. After listening to “Emmy’s” story of finding joy and freedom through her hope in Christ, I hope you too can feel encouraged to persevere as you go through your own difficult experiences.

The woman in this story will be known as “Emmy” for her own safety.
