“A journalist enjoys a privileged position. In the haulage industry this privileged position has been achieved by a few but one name stands out and that has to be Brian Weatherley who started as the secondary photographer at Commercial Motor way BACK in the mists of time. After a 40 year career and rising to the position of editor Brian became a champion of the industry and wrote about it with honesty and intelligence whilst also undertaking great feats such as driving a lorry from Munich to Moscow when the latter was BACK in the USSR.
