Brendan Cole joins me to chat all things performance , Brendan`s experience is a multifactoral one in which he has occupied a few incredible hats, from being an elite track and field 800 meter hurdler, exercise science graduate, strength, power, speed coach and a soft tissue therapist.
Brendan at one stage was on an athletic scholarship with the Australian Institute of Sport and working as a soft tissue therapist there aswell, i think he was the only one to achieve that . Brendan one a gold medal at the Delhi Commonwealth Games and made the second heats at the London Olympic games in 2012 in 800m hurdles and then competed in the 400x400 relay team.
Brendan then retired from track and field competition and was invited to work at the prestigious ALTIS training facility in the USA as a performance therapist and from there found him the unique situation working with the USA bobsled team .
In this podcast Brendan steps as through these unique experiences and we chat all things performance therapy and what it takes to work at that level . As we discuss there are levels to these environments. Brendans passion for performance therapy shines through in this podcast and is infectious and for those therapists working in athletic environments this is must listen too.
A unique opportunity to here from both an athletes and a therapists view point, he is definitely someone who is AWESOME AT WHAT HE DOES !!!!
