We will cover three alternative theories, firstly, that Santa was based on Siberian shamanism and hallucinogenic mushrooms, secondly, that he was based on fairy folklore, and third, that he is a representation of the pagan god, Saturn. Which, if any, of these is the truth, or is Santa some combination of all the above?
