Let’s read Jesus’ warning: Matthew 24:23-25 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe him. (24) For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (25) Remember, I have told you ahead of time.” The only defense against the deception is the word of God. Not signs and wonders, not our own hearts.
