MIT graduate Janelle Wellons recently became a Spaceflight Operations Engineer for a space company in Tokyo, Japan after spending nearly six years at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory where she made amazing inroads as an Instrument Operations Systems Engineer. I caught up with Janelle during her transition between jobs and had an opportunity to have a fun, casual, and insightful conversation with her about the challenges and rewards of navigating a career in aerospace.
