In today’s podcast episode of The Curious Therapist Show, I interview my dear friend and fellow therapist, Courtney Brooke. I literally would not have survived grad school without her!
Courtney Brooke is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who sees people dealing with life transitions, trauma and a variety of mental health struggles. She provides supervision to other therapists and has taught at the college and university levels. She’s also has 5 kids and is a super adventurous soul!
In this episode, Courtney and I talk all about burnout. We discuss:
-the collective burn out we’ve seen since 2020
-what makes women more vulnerable to burn out
-how burn out shows up- emotional, mental and physical signs
-how burn out shows up for mental health/helping professionals including our own experiences
-how to prevent and address burnout
