Hey gorgeous and welcome back for another episode of LTP!
Today's episode is with Dr Courtney Munro, Senior Research Officer and Project Coordinator of the LongSTEPPP Study. Courtney undertook her PhD at the Royal Children's Hospital in relation to cystic fibrosis. Courtney's work currently is focused on teens living with endometriosis and pelvic pain, through the LongSTEPP Study, an MRFF funded Australia wide research project, the Longitudinal Study of Teens with Endometriosis, Period and Pelvic Pain, which is recruiting 10 - 18 year olds and following them for five years.
We chat on:
- Why Courtney got into research and her day to day as a researcher
- Courtney's thoughts on why teens are still being dismissed when it comes to pelvic pain and the barriers they face
- What the research is telling us about pelvic pain, endometriosis and teens
- All about the LongSTEPPP study and what it's aiming to achieve
- How the LTP community can support the LongSTEPPP study
- Plus so much more!
