It’s the time of year when we humans must rely more on artificial light to make our way through the darkness. Whether in our homes or on the streets, we are helpless without it. In our story, “Street Lights,” by Barry Thisbone, a mother warns her children not to look behind them at night if a streetlight goes out. Unfortunately, her warning turns out to be more than just an urban legend.
Urban legends are told in every culture around the world. Are they weird entertainment or cautionary tales? Is there any truth to them? Honestly, I don’t care. I love urban legends and weird cultural tales. We'll look at some great stories from around the globe.
