She experienced hemmorhaging, requiring an immediate D&C followed by an ICU stay. Alex eventually required transfer via helicopter to a city hospital for specialized treatment and dialysis. She spent 38 days away from her family. Alex was discharged on dialysis and shares what it was like to experience a life-changing diagnosis after a traumatic birth experience.
