"Iron deficiency: the most common malady on the planet. Once known as “iron-poor blood,” this condition is more serious and widespread than most people imagine. Its more advanced form – known as iron deficiency anemia – this condition affects approximately 50% of women overall and up to 90% of pregnant women, especially minority and poorer women."
Join us as we discuss this crisis and the implications for babies born to these women with Dr. Michael Auerbach, Hematologist-Oncologist, an internationally recognized researcher in the treatment of iron deficiency, and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
