Interesting People - Mack Robinson
In this episode, we shine a spotlight on Mack Robinson, he was an American sprinter who won a silver medal in the 200 meters at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, finishing just behind Jesse Owens. He grew up in Pasadena, California, excelling in athletics and setting national records at Pasadena Junior College. Despite his achievements, Robinson faced racial discrimination upon returning to the U.S. and received little recognition. He later became a community activist in Pasadena, advocating for civil rights and neighborhood improvements.
