A few years later, I thought I’d cracked it - I’d hired someone to manage our properties so I could sail into the sunset (literally). But what I didn’t realise was that hiring someone into a broken business, without systems, accountability, and the right leadership, was just another gamble. And this time, it didn’t pay off.
Within months, our lettings manager collapsed under the pressure, compliance issues stacked up, occupancy rates plummeted, and (if I’m being honest) I nearly lost more than just my business...
