Is it time for the Southern Baptist Convention to reevaluate its traditional views on women serving as pastors? We discuss the recent Southern Baptist meeting in New Orleans in which several churches were ejected from the SBC for having female pastors, and also additional restrictions were placed on women in pastoral roles (pending final approval next year). Comparing the Southern Baptist Convention's practices to those within the Anglican Church and other Christian traditions, we explore the evolving perspectives on gender roles in church leadership. Erin shares her experiences as a woman being called to ministry and pursuing her ordination.
