What do Austin Parks, Bird Flu, the music of CCR and Chicago, and Broadway all have in common? These are the subjects we get into in this episode.
First I’ll be visiting with Nancy Schnable at Discover Austin. As many of you know, bringing in tourists to Austin, whether it is individuals, families, or groups, is what Discover Austin is focused on. The job is a bit easier because Austin has some incredible facilities that groups, organizations, and teams are looking for to hold their events. Many of those amenities are overseen by the Austin Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department. We get the chance to visit with Jason Sehon, Parks and Recreation and Forestry Director about his role in keeping these facilities in top condition.

Then I’ll check in at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center and talk with Luke Reese about the current outbreak of avian flu and the precautions being taken by the Nature Center Staff.

And finally, a conversation with Tom Robbins, Executive Director at Austin Area Arts. We’ll talk about the renovation project now underway at the Paramount Theater and a series of concerts that are scheduled around Austin over the next few months. If you like the music of Chicago, CCR, and even Broadway, you’ll want to listen and get ready to get your tickets. These shows are going to be great.
As always, thanks for listening to the Wright Here, Right Now podcast.
