Jake Harvath is a long distance rider from Heber City, Utah. He is the founder of the Year of the Mustang project. A six thousand mile horseback journey that has taken Harvath and his mustangs from Utah to the Atlantic coast. Now they are headed west, with plans to pass through twenty five states in total. Jake’s mission is to show the usefulness and versatility of mustangs as working horses and to educate the public about the need for adoption. A trainer and farrier by trade, Jake is applying the skills he’s obtained in life to the challenging journey. While his horses; Denver, Bella and Eddy are showing the world the qualities that mustangs possess. Jake found a voice by documenting his journey on YouTube and social media.
