Dr. Chad Brummett is a Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan where he serves as the Senior Associate Chair for Research. He has more than 300 publications and is also the Co-Director of the cross-campus Opioid Research Institute at the University of Michigan.

In addition, Dr. Brummett is the Co-Director of the Overdose Prevention Engagement Network known as OPEN, also at the University of Michigan. OPEN aims to apply a preventative approach to the opioid epidemic in the US.

Unique Musical Aims To Raise Awareness Of Opioid Risk To Teens

Performers from the musical theater program at the University of Michigan are working in a joint venture with Michigan Medicine to raise awareness about addiction issues through a unique performance. NBC’s Harry Smith reports for TODAY.
