The Constructors' World Championship hung in the balance going into Abu Dhabi but McLaren-Mercedes nailed it down with a superlative performance from Lando Norris: he took the pole and dominated the race, leading home the two Ferraris - McLaren's only rivals for the title - by a comfortable margin. Oscar Piastri qualified a strong P2 in the other McLaren but collided with Max Verstappen's Red Bull-Honda at the first corner; he finished P10. The factory Mercedes were fourth and fifth, with Sir Lewis Hamilton (on medium Pirellis) passing George Russell (on the harder tyre) in sight of the flag.
