Welcome back to Courtroom Confidential with Joshua Ritter! This week, I share my insights on some of this week’s updates in the true crime world, including:

- A Hollywood ending 30 years in the making finally reaches its dramatic final act as LA District Attorney George Gascon makes a huge announcement in the murder case of brothers Erik and Lyle Menendez. The Menendez brothers are currently serving life sentences without parole for the 1989 deaths of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez.

- So-called “suitcase killer” Sarah Boone finally has her moment in the spotlight as she takes the stand in her own defense. Boone stands accused of second-degree murder in the death of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres. Torres was found dead inside a suitcase inside their Winter Park, Florida home in 2020.

I also touch on several other high-profile cases making headlines this week, including: the trial for Delphi man Richard Allen as it continues with graphic testimony; the trial of Leilani Simon, accused of killing her toddler after his remains were found in a landfill; the trial of Melody Farris, accused of killing her husband and burning his body; delayed sentencing for former ballerina Ashley Benefield while a judge reviews potential juror misconduct; and a bail hearing for accused murderer, social media model Courtney Clenney. Plus, a quick look at next week's top cases.
