In this podcast, I point out that the general rankings of hospitals and medical care systems can quite often be misleading! When evaluating a hospital's quality and suitability, some very important factors are not taken into account as they often depend on the individual patient. No matter how expensive and modern the equipment, how ostentatious the building, the size of the budget, the cost-effectiveness of the procedures, the number of surgeries performed each week, the number of available beds or how generous the staffing situation is—these are often not the most important factors!
