His books include The Power of Sound, Through a Dog’s Ear, and Sonic Alchemy. His latest book, Soundwork on a Hot Rock will be published in 2025.

Joshua’s 50+ application-specific soundtracks are used in clinics, classrooms, homes, and animal-care facilities worldwide. Previous teaching positions include San Francisco’s California Institute of Integral Studies and The New York Open Center.
