Total Nonstop Action's last big show of 2024 was Final Resolution, the company's second app special in two weeks. With so little time to promote a show, perhaps it's no surprise that the biggest story coming out of the event wasn't any of the matches, but a returning star: Tessa Blanchard, last seen in the company as their reigning world champion before she was fired under multiple accusations of backstage abuse and failures to appear during the pandemic. Mind you, there was also news in the ring, with Nic Nemeth defending the world championship against AJ Francis; Joe Hendry, Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, and Mike Santana facing off to name a main event challenger at Genesis, TNA's next pay per view; and the Hardys defending their tag titles against the System in a blatant but effective display of nostalgia.
