Today on Amplify Nursing, we talk with Dr. Lucinda Canty. Dr. Canty is an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Nursing, where she also serves as the director of the Seedworks Health Equity Program. As a nurse educator, researcher, historian, and reproductive health justice activist, Dr. Canty is deeply committed to improving the maternal health of women of color.
Dr. Canty talks with us about the prevalence of racism in nursing, the importance of initiating change in nursing education policy, and how she uses art and poetry to express her passions.
