Why are there log files in the Podcast Addict app folder?
Podcast Addict generates log files to assist users and me in diagnosing and resolving any issues that may arise while using the app. These logs are strictly local to your device, and I have no access to them unless you choose to share them.
What are these log files used for?
- Mobile Data Usage Log: This log helps you track the app's mobile data consumption. It records actions such as episode downloads, streaming, artwork downloads, and more. If you're concerned about data usage or if you're experiencing unexpected data consumption, this log can pinpoint the specific actions responsible.
- Alarm Tracking Log: This log records alarms triggered by the app, which are responsible for tasks like automatic updates or backups. If these functions aren't working as expected, this log can help diagnose the problem.
- Real-Time Podcast Update Log: This log tracks real-time podcast updates. If certain content isn't being pushed to your device, this log can help determine why the updates aren't reaching you.
Is my privacy protected?
Absolutely. The purpose of these log files is purely diagnostic and is not intended to track your activity. The logs are only stored locally on your device, and I have no access to them unless you explicitly send them to me.
