163 : Is Starting a Podcast a Good Idea or is it a Distraction to your Business? w/ Mario Porreca
Aug 25 2020 34 mins
Are you thinking about starting a podcast? Before you start, I want to ask if you've considered whether or not this is going to be a distraction for you and your business. Starting a podcast just for the sake of having a podcast or because everyone else has one is a really terrible reason to have one. In today's episode, I'm joined by Mario Porreca who has spent the last several years podcasting and today he's sharing insights and strategy into how you can have a great podcast without it being 'just another thing you're doing.' Mario started his story as a performer. As soon as he was able to walk he was sneaking into the waiting room of his fathers chiropractic clinic and putting on shows for the patients who were waiting. Mario has appeared on TV over 50 times promoting his books and business, has been a featured speaker for numerous groups, events, schools, and corporations and has hosted his own live radio show for about three years which was also recorded and turned into a podcast with its own exclusive spin-off podcast. In March of 2018 Mario launched 10 Minute Mindset and it became a massive success. His love for podcasting and the relationships and conversations created around it inspired the idea for MARIO’S MAIN FOCUS IS TO HELP BUSINESSES GENERATE REVENUE AND SERVE MORE POEPLE IN A SUSTAINBABLE AND SCALABLE WAY USING A PODCAST.

153 : What is your ROI on Social Media Marketing: Let's Discuss That w/ Heather Heuman
Jun 16 2020 17 mins
Imagine you were taking an ad out in your local newspaper. It's approximately 4X5 and you're wanting to run that for 3 days. DO you know how much that would cost you? In my town, roughly $500 - $700. Based on the response you get, it would be fairly easy to determine what your ROI (return on investment) is. So what's the ROI on social media? It's more challenging to figure out if you're not paying any money and are using your time and energy. You're going to be sorely disappointed if you think you can put the least amount of work in, show up sporadically and are outsourcing every task related to social media that you lose your brand and your voice. But if you're willing to do the work, put in the time, nurture the relationships that you form online, I believe that social media can be a game changer. Don't be afraid to make yourself known for something. The right people are watching and will remember your name. But you have to be willing to be in the marathon, not the sprint, of social media marketing. In today's episode, I share with you real-life examples of how I've used social media to gain some incredible opportunities. I also lay out my S.O.C.I.A.L. framework to leverage social media in your business.
