Equal Rites is, to the more experienced readers, much closer to what we associate with Discworld novels. Sourcery marks the first book with some disagreement among our hosts, but what would life be without some healthy, well-mannered debate? Wyrd Sisters is a great entry point book for Discworld. It's stacked to the rafters with solid female characters, it's the point at which Terry's exploration of witch magic gets really good, and it's a really fun read to boot.
