Just a Minute is a BBC Radio 4 radio comedy panel game broadcast from 1967 until the present day. The object of the game is for panelists to talk for sixty seconds on a given subject, "without hesitation, repetition or deviation". The comedy comes from attempts to keep within these rules and the banter among the participants. The show was chaired, with a few exceptions, by Nicholas Parsons for more than fifty years of the programme's run. Parsons appeared on every show until his death in January 2020, though he was occasionally a panellist rather than the chairman. Series 86 was the first recorded since Parsons' death and featured guest hosts including Gyles Brandreth, Paul Merton, Stephen Fry, Jo Brand, Nish Kumar, Lucy Porter, Sue Perkins, Tom Allen and Jenny Eclair.
